Tell us about your business?

We also have MGN Books, which features diverse children’s books like our bestselling children’s book Princess Amara & The Magic Fruit. How long have you been in business?

My Good Nanny has been in business since 2005, so it has been 6 awesome years.

What is your the typical day like?

There is really no typical day for me. I just hustle hard each day.

What’s a challenge in your business?

The perception about Nannies. Many people feel that Nannies are for the super rich but that’s not necessarily true. You pay just as much for daycare as you do a nanny. Nannies are a great asset if you find the right one; and My Good Nanny can help you do just that.

What’s a joy in your business?

Controlling my own destiny. Businesses are like children, if they are nurtured, valued, and loved, they will grow and really surprise you by being something great.

How do you balance your business and family life?

With a strong support system. My husband, children, and family are amazing. They believe in My Good Nanny. I have a nanny of course, who is really good and understands my demanding schedule. I have set hours and I live by my calendar. It is not easy but I do it. God gives me daily strength.

What motivates you?

When I can help a family solve their childcare problems. That really motivates me to do more and be more.

Advice for new entrepreneurs just starting?

Offer something of value and believe in yourself.

What’s next for your family?

We have a lot going on with school, ballet, swimming and of course my husband’s demanding profession We are just taking it one day at a time. Only God really knows what is next.

What’s next for your business?

I am working on a book for Parents called 50 Parent Commandments, it is going to be a must have item for any parent who wants to hire a nanny.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Celebrity Gossip! I love reading celebrity magazines and all the blogs!

Diva must have item:

A nice Handbag.! It does not have to be a designer bag, it just has to be really classy and nice.
